Henry Middle School

Brian Taylor
Athletic Coordinator
My name is Brian Taylor and this will be my 15th year in education and 5th year in LISD. I am the boys coordinator at Henry Middle School and will be coaching football, basketball, and baseball at Vista Ridge. I started my coaching career at Florence High School, then spent 1 year at Tippit Middle School before going to my alma mater Westwood for 7 years. I played baseball at Angelina Junior College and Oklahoma State University, and spent my last two years at Lamar University.
I’ve been married to my wife for 15 years and have 3 kids: Brayden is a freshman at Vista Ridge and will be playing baseball, Raelyn is 12 and attends Cedar Park Middle, and my youngest is 9 and attends Nauman Elementary. Looking forward to my new role helping develop these young athletes for their futures at Vista Ridge and beyond.

Aaron Alvarado

My name is Aaron Alvarado and I will be entering my 21st year of teaching and coaching and my eighth year at Henry Middle School. I graduated from Texas A&M with an English major and History minor in 2002. I have taught and coached in Corpus Christi, San Antonio, and Austin, coaching football, basketball, track, and soccer. This year, I look forward to returning to Physical Education. I enjoy spending time with my beautiful wife Rachel, my daughter Alana, my son Nico, and lastly my dog Bandit.

Gerry McEntee

Hello, my name is Gerry McEntee and I am entering my 27th year at LISD. I have coached at Henry Middle School, Cedar Park Middle School, and Leander Junior High (the current LMS). I will be coaching football, basketball, and girls soccer this year. I graduated from LeTourneau University with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and hold certificates in core subjects K-8, Math 4-8, and Technical Applications K-12. I have coaching licenses from US Soccer, NSCAA, and TASCO. As an athlete I played semi-professional soccer.

Michael Esquivel

My name is Michael Esquivel and I am entering my third year in education and 1st year at Henry. I previously worked at Elgin High School the past 2 years, where I was an assistant coach in football and basketball. I will be coaching 8th grade boys football, basketball, and track. I graduated from Texas State University in 2021 with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Sports Science. Looking forward to being a part of the Henry and Vista Ridge family.

Jack Landry

My name is Jack Landry. This is my 2nd year coaching and third year in education overall. I will be coaching football, basketball, and track as well as teaching 7th Grade English Language Arts. I graduated from Texas State University in 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in English.

Stiles Middle School

Paris Hodges
Athletic Coordinator
Paris Hodges is the Athletic Coordinator at Stiles Middle School and is entering his 20th year in education. He has proudly served the students, athletes, and families of Stiles Middle School for the past 13 years. Prior to joining Stiles, Coach Hodges taught and coached at Four Points Middle School, Port Allen High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Farley Middle School, Hutto High School, and Rockdale Middle School. Coach Hodges graduated from Louisiana State University, where he played football for the Tigers, and later earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas at Arlington. Coach Hodges and his wife, Angela, have a daughter, Ava Grace.

BJ Hernandez

My name is BJ Hernandez and this is my 25th year of teaching. I graduated from Texas A&M University. I coach football, basketball, and track at Stiles Middle School. Prior to coaching at Stiles, I coached in Hutto and Round Rock ISD. My wife Tamara and I have 2 sons: Blake graduated from Vista Ridge in 2026 and Ryan is currently a freshman at Vista Ridge.

Curtis Perkins

Coach Perkins is a science teacher and coach at Stiles Middle School. He has coached football, basketball, track, soccer, and tennis in the past, mostly with Leander ISD. Coach Perkins has a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Texas State University. He and his wife Kelly have 5 children: Dallas, Lane, Cody, Cooper, and Madison.
