Jose Carrillo
Athletic Trainer
Coach Carrillo is in his 23rd year of Athletic Training and in his 10th year as an Athletic Trainer with Vista Ridge. He was also an athletic trainer at Round Rock High School, Brownsville Rivera High School, and Fort Bend Hightower High School. Originally from Port Isabel, he earned a Bachelor of Exercise & Sports Science and a Bachelor of Arts from Southwest Texas State University. He is both a Nationally Certified (NATABOC) and State Licensed Athletic Trainer. He and his wife Carolyn have been married for 16 years and have 2 daughters, McKenna and Isadora.
Sophia Munoz
Athletic Trainer
Coach Munoz is in her 3rd year of athletic training and in her 2nd year at Vista Ridge High School. In 2020, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Texas at Austin. Following the completion of her education she returned home to San Antonio, TX, as an outreach athletic trainer for school and club athletic programs. During the spring of 2021, she served as an interim athletic trainer for MacArthur High School, where she predominantly covered softball, baseball, and track and field. She is a nationally certified and state licensed athletic trainer.
